Revealed back in 2019, Hollow Knight: Silksong has been in development for nearly five years. So while you might have to wait just a bit longer to play what was originally one of our most anticipated titles of 2020, we're hopeful it will be worth the wait. Though this might come as a blow to those eager for more Hollow Knight- and our own Jordan Ramee, in particular-Griffin went on to state this delay is to ensure the team has time to make the game "as good as can." Griffin also wrote that Silksong has "gotten quite big," and that the studio is already excited by how the game is shaping up. We're excited by how the game is shaping up, and it's gotten quite big, so we want to take the time to make the game as good as we can. We had planned to release in the 1st half of 2023, but development is still continuing. It will be available on Game Pass from day one.Hey gang, just a quick update about Silksong. ![]() Whenever it does appear, Hollow Knight: Silksong will be released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Originally conceived as an expansion for the original Hollow Knight featuring that game’s antagonist/ally Hornet as the main character, Silksong has grown into a full-fledged sequel - and, it appears, quite an ambitious one. ![]() Silksong was first announced in 2019, but Team Cherry’s subsequent yearslong silence about its development, with the exception of that 2022 trailer, has turned desperate fans’ futile hopes for news from any and every platform-holder showcase into a kind of meme. A late 2023 release or slip into 2024 seem likely. Team Cherry’s refusal to commit to a release date for Silksong is probably just a sensible precaution, although the wording of the tweet does not suggest the game will be out soon. Griffin’s message effectively rules out any appearance by Silksong in the Xbox and Summer Game Fest showcases filling the hole left by this year’s canceled E3. But it made an appearance in trailer form during Microsoft’s June 2022 showcase, which purported to only feature games due out in the following 12 months. In fact, Silksong has never had an official release date. Matthew Griffin from developer Team Cherry made the announcement on Twitter, saying simply that “development is still continuing,” and declining to give an expected release window for the game. His son was just as good, if not better with more power. Randy has been labeled as possibly the greatest Cubs catcher of all time. Randy Hundley, Todd’s father, was one of the most beloved Cubs in the 1960s and 1970s. Randy Hundley earned Todd this horrible contract with the Cubs. Signing Todd Hundley to such a bad contract was a blessing in disguise. One of the best decisions in the Jim Hendry era was to clean up one of the worst. There are trades that leave you wondering if the owner or general manager was liquored up when they made the move. Then there are some contracts that are for only one or two years and also shoot an organization in the foot.īut bad contracts are not the only way a club can get in the way of their own future. Some are for six, seven, or eight years or both long and no-trade. Not all team-detrimental contracts have a no-trade clause, however. The reason for not offering no-trade clauses is to avoid having player contracts hinder the club’s plans at any future point. Ryan Dempster and Alfonso Soriano would be relevant examples why, but they both were 5/10 players. One of the many proclamations Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer have made since coming to the North Side is their intention to not offer any more contracts with a no-trade clause. There have been mind-boggling trades and head-scratching free agent signings to go along with decisions to not re-sign talented players. We particularly like the durable materials in this build, including the faux leather exterior (though real leather would have been a nice touch), chrome clasps, and a tempered glass window so that you can see and display your watches while they wind. Best for large collections: Aevitas Watch Winder.Best affordable battery-powered: JQueen Double Watch Winder.Best affordable: Versa Automatic Single Watch Winder. If you are a budding collector with a rotation of watches, a watch you only wear occasionally, or you just hate having to wind and reset your watch, here are some of the best watch winders to keep you ticking. Store your watch in the box, which often also makes a great display case, and it will move every so often to keep the watch ready to wear, displaying the correct time, at a moment’s notice. If you don’t wear the watch often enough, or leave it on your shelf saved up for a special occasion, the watch won’t get the motion it needs and will run out of power, meaning you’ll take it out only to find it dead. To prevent this, watch winders help keep your watch moving by using a small motor that mimics the motion of your wrist. But this usually only powers the watch for about 24 to 48 hours. Rather, an internal mechanism helps turn motion into power for the watch. Unlike your favorite cheap watch, automatic watches don’t have a battery. Watch winders help keep automatic watches stay powered up. ![]() The survivors travel from planet to planet, constantly pursued by the Buff Clan who desire the Ideon for themselves along with the mysterious energy source behind them, known only as “Id” or “Ide”. I'm on linux, so it's good news that system audio is supported now, but it's bad news that only 48000 Hz sample rate is supported. Also, if you open a 48000 Hz in vlc or audacity, you can actually hear the sound, so my guess is these apps (as well as previous Resolve versions) have some kind of on the fly sample rate converter. ![]() But with previous Resolve versions (12-14) this wasn't an issue. I have no sound and unfortunately the audio interface I'm using doesn't support 48000 Hz, only 44100 Hz. I had my settings at 41000 Hz, which is why it didn't play back. Go back to Resolve and import, then play a file and voila, it'll play audio. "Advanced" tab at the top and in the "Default Format" section, you select "0 Hz (DVD quality). Right click on the speaker icon and select "Open Volume Mixer" While in your web browser, navigate your mouse to the small speaker icon located on the lower/right corner of the task bar. This should allow you to step out of Resolve and into the web browser you opened earlier. As the clip in your project continues to play, press and hold the right "Alt" key then tap the "Tab key once. Be sure your audio output device is set to a medium level. Next, launch resolve, open your project, and bring up a nice chunk of clip that you know to have audio. First, close all windows/apps then launch a web browser of your choice. If you've exhausted all options above and are running Resolve on a PC then the following may get you back on track. This bug doesn't seem to happen on every project, but it's consistent enough that I'm now always checking for it before rendering anything (or if I'm trying to make changes on the Edit page). This only seems to work on Fairlight & Color for some reason, other pages don't respond to any commands related to audio until you've gone back to either of those pages and re-enabled it. The workaround I've found has been (when this occurs and I randomly lose audio playback): go to either the Fairlight or Color page, toggle the mute button on that page, then switch to the page I was trying to work on (either Edit or Delivery) and audio playback will return. Toggling sound on either of those pages has no effect, it's like the system just forgets to process the audio mix. I had a bunch of long renders a few weeks ago that needed to be redone because the sound simply didn't write to the output file. Select your preferred device and click Set Default Communications Device. This is probably *not* what's causing all the issues in this thread, but I've noticed since DR14 that audio playback will regularly mute itself when switching between timelines in either the Edit or Delivery pages.Right-click the speaker icon in the Windows system tray (near the clock).Be sure your default communications device is properly set up.Audio issues can arise when you run the game in compatibility mode. You may need to close background applications to improve performance and stability.Note: Higher Sound Quality settings will sound better, but may reduce performance. This will, by default, parse the standard arguments passed to the script (sys.argv) Usually you parse your arguments with: options, args = parser.parse_args() It is also self-documenting in that you declare the help argument (which will be used when run with -h/-help) right there with the option. It pretty much speaks for itself at processing time, it will accept -q or -query as options, store the argument in an attribute called query and has a default value if you don't specify it. Here's a typical line to add an option to your parser: parser.add_option('-q', '-query', Optparse, while being a bit more verbose, is much better structured and simpler to extend later on. getopt is pretty much a one-to-one mapping of the standard getopt(3) C library functions, and not very easy to use. One of the first major changes for the series is a streamlining of how you cast hero skills and other quick-casts.
